Mobile Fire Protection
RRU-120 TRAILER UNIT ![]() :: One Lever Operation :: Automatic Activation :: Easy Tow :: Flatbed Trailer Mount Option :: Electric Brakes :: Heavy Duty Axle & Lights :: Tows easily with a Light Truck or Pick-Up :: Produces foam in seconds :: 120 Gallon water capacity CAFS produces 2,400 gallons of foam per one charge of water. This Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) is housed within a completely enclosed trailer unit. It operates similarly to our Foam Tote series and produces foam automatically and immediately with a quarter turn of a lever. Equipped with two large gas cylinders, recharge is quick and easy. The 120 gallon tank of water can be emptied and refilled at least twice with the provided on-board supplies of foam and nitrogen gas.The enclosed trailer is 4' x 8' feet. It tracks and tows easily, and can be quickly maneuvered into tight spaces. It comes standard with a heavy duty 3,500 lb axle, 14" inch tires and rims and electric brakes. The trailer unit is also equipped with all applicable lights. The wood floor is pressure treated by a preservative. This compact and powerful foam fire protection system meets many fire protection needs and requirements. As a fire protection system the Trailer Unit serves the fire protection needs of fire departments, youth camps, logging operations, industrial sites, remote air strips, heliports, industrial and manufacturing sites. This highly mobile CAFS can be safely controlled on steep grades -- or quickly brought to a halt in bumper to bumper traffic with the electric brakes. The cover can be locked to prevent accidental discharge of foam, or tampering. The cover protects all components (except for the fire hose and tires) from the weather elements. This system can also be equipped with foams for the suppression of oil fires and hazardous spill cleanup. For these special foam requirements additional foam concentrate tanks can be included within the trailer enclosure. |
